When Arjuna is faced with the dilemma of a battle against his cousins Krishna takes this form to enlighten him on worldly truths. In this form he manifests the entire universe. He is shown with multiple heads and hands. At the top register the Gods are seen showering flowers on the cosmic form. The palace of Dwaraka is seen in an oval setting with Krishan shown dancing with the gopis. Several beings occupy the bottom of the painting. Created in the late 1970s by accomplished Pichwai master artists, these works were made using exceptionally rich and finely prepared pigments.
